Marketing
Unless you untick the marketing box when booking, we may email you news and offers from Stroud Bowl. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails, or by contacting us. Unsubscribing does not affect emails we need to send about an existing booking.
Cookies and similar technology
Our main website (stroudbowl.co.uk) uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are visited and how people find us. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We only set these cookies if you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. Google Analytics does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it for advertising.
The Google Analytics cookies are:
- _ga - distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years.
- _ga_[ID] - remembers your current visit. Expires after 2 years.
Google may process this information outside the UK, including in the United States, under safeguards approved for UK data transfers. You can read more about how Google uses information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites using Google's browser add-on.
Our booking site (book.stroudbowl.co.uk) uses essential cookies and similar technology so the booking flow works (for example to keep your session secure while you book). We also use lightweight, first-party analytics to understand how people move through the booking steps. These analytics are anonymous and are not used for advertising. The booking site does not use Google Analytics or any advertising cookies.
If we add other third-party advertising or tracking tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.
How long we keep your information
We keep booking and customer records for as long as needed to manage bookings, handle queries, and meet legal or accounting requirements. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, unless we still need them for an active booking or legal reason.
Your rights
You have rights over your personal information, including the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete information in certain circumstances
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw marketing or cookie consent at any time
- Complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
To exercise these rights, email [email protected].
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information. No online system is completely secure, but we aim to keep your data safe and use trusted providers for payments and email.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Please check this page periodically.
